Eastern mysticism stems from Eastern philosophical and religious schools that include Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Taoism and Zen. These schools incorporate the practice of meditation to achieve salvation from cycles of reincarnation. The path of meditation is often reserved for the most ardent seeker of salvation and is often enjoined among followers in the latter years of their life. The goal of emancipation from earthly life is gained by attaining enlightenment experience that confers wisdom that fulfills and frees the mind of urges that ties it to the duality of experience which is a feature of earthly life. Enlightenment experiences attained through the practice of meditation allow followers to uncover their innate unity with the Divine. Rehnadee Shum is a branch of Eastern mysticism that is most closely aligned to Ashtanga Yoga. It is an evolution of this ancient school of meditation that enhances the practice of meditation through precise categorising and defining of mystic experiences.
