At the heart of Rehnadee Shum is the mystic mind, which in and of itself is a universe to be explored. Rehnadee Shum meditations are explorations that enrich us with soulfulness and open us to a world beyond the confines of the five senses. As with any exploration to start one needs a map and a mode of transport. Rehnadee Shum is a language made for creating mystic maps–meditation maps. With these maps come an unique mode of transport–Shummef–the Shum Perspective. This perspective is the vehicle that a Rehnadee Shum meditator uses to explore the mystic universe–The Innerverse.
Shummef arises from three foundational truths of Rehnadee Shum. These three truths are as follows:
- There is One Mind and it is organised into 14 dimensions. SuhSemfNaKaee~ Shummef~
- 'I' in Shummef is a pure being of consciousness that is taintless and evolves spiritually. Na'am~ Shummef~
- Shum meditations are dynamic and they cause spiritual evolution. ShumNamm~ Shummef~
There is One Mind and it is organised into 14 dimensions.
My guru would say that all of our universe, our world, our life–is 'The Mind' that, "Everything is The Mind." This Mind, our mind, is organised into The 14 Dimensions of Rehnadee Shum. The word SuhSemfNaKaee repacks these 14 dimensions into three planes of existence–The Universe, The Innerverse and The Multiverse.
The Universe is the world around us–family, friends, nation, things, animals, plants, environment, planet, etc. Of the 14 Dimensions the Universe spans the first five Dimensions. Our spoken languages were innovated for us to communicate with each other in relation to the Universe. The Innerverse is the universe of our mind–our thoughts, feelings, inspirations, fears, deductions, opinions and spiritual experiences. The Innerverse spans from the Second Dimension to the Tenth Dimension. Rehnadee Shum is used to comprehend and experience this realm, especially the vast mystic realms that are beyond the scope of spoken languages. The Multiverse lies beyond Rehnadee Shum–it is the realm of the primal forces of Creation–pure space and pure energy. The Multiverse spans from the 11th to the 14th Dimensions.
The 'One Mind' refers to the shared faculties of the mind that we all possess just as we have the same organs in our body even if each of us is unique ad infinitum. With this 'One Mind' (SuhSeemfNaKaee~ Shummef~) we establish reality when we can concur with each other through the commonality of experience using language. The base of all spoken languages on Earth is the One Mind. It allows us to translate from one language to another without losing meaning. Therefore if I wanted to say to someone who didn't know english I just had something sweet, if I translated it into their language they would understand what I mean immediately. Likewise things, emotions, colours, numbers and so on. Sharing our understanding and concurring with one another is how we establish reality.
Rehnadee Shum also uses the 'One Mind' concept to establish the reality of the Innerverse. The language is designed specifically to reveal the depths of The Innerverse. Rehnadee Shum maps elucidates our mystic mind similar to how scientists use specialised nomenclatures to name animals, plants, the stars and chemicals. Our spoken languages lack the structure to efficiently pinpoint mystic destinations within the landscape of The Innververse, though they are good at describing mystic experiences. Spoken languages can provide colourful description of mystic experiences in the form of poems, allegory or epiphanic event. However without unambiguous naming and placement of mystic experiences in the realm of The Innerverse spoken language descriptions alone cannot be used to establish objective reality of the Innververse because they are too subjective. However when Rehnadee Shum is combined with a spoken language the reality of The Innerverse can be established through concurrance. To agree on reality of a mystic experience, the experience must be described precisely along with how it is gotten to. Rehnadee Shum's structure and syntax provides the framework for this by organising descriptions and establishing pathways (using meditation maps) to a mystic destination that can be shared and tried by other meditators. When meditators concur on the efficacy of a meditation map, that particular map and the Rehnadee Shum words within it may be established in Rehnadee Shum's Lexicon. This way Rehnadee Shum's vocabulary grows as meditators concur with each other and our understanding of The Innerverse expands through shared experience and discovery.
Rehnadee Shum's vocabulary spans the Universe and the Innerverse from the First Dimension to the Tenth Dimension. Beyond the Tenth Dimension are four more dimensions that are part of The Multiverse. The Multiverse is also of the 'One Mind' but our ability to explore this part of Creation is inhibited by our dense physical body–save for one experience–the ultimate goal of Rehnadee Shum–Emkaeef–which is of the 14th Dimension. The Multiverse is the advanced mystic's playground after leaving the mortal coil.
'I' in Shummef is a pure being of consciousness that is taintless and evolves spiritually.
The question of I –'Who am I?' is at the apex of meditative inquiry. When our physical self begins to reduce its grip on our sense of being–as the mind quiets through meditation–the intrigue of self discovery begins. "What happens after death? Do I still exist?" To primordial questions like this Na'amm~ Shummef~ provides direct answers and the path to spiritual self discovery through Rehnadee Shum meditations.
Na'amm~ Shummef~ postulates that at our core all of us is Pure Awareness. In Rehnadee Shum Pure Awareness (or simply Awareness) is known as Na'amm. If you can imagine your Awareness as a ball of light in your mind, this ball of light which is full of cosmic power is you–Na'amm. Thoughts, emotions, memories and mystic experiences arise within you when they become empowered by your Awareness. For an example, let's say you want to remember an event, that memory will arise in your mind when Awareness goes to the place in The One Mind where that memory resides and infuses it with energy. Like wise if you are formulating thoughts, your Awareness travels to the area of your mind where thinking is and then thoughts arise as you direct it from the energy Awareness provides to faculty in your mind. Awareness we can move across all 14 Dimensions of the Mind, though spiritual dynamics limits it to the first 10 while on Earth. The education that we get as youth teaches us to move our Awareness across the first four dimensions and develop the basic and fundamental faculties that we need for a living. These dimensions hold the ability to create thoughts, use logic, have aspirations, hope, faith and to emote. To explore the remaining dimensions that are from Dimensions Four on up–which are mystical–is what Rehnadee Shum meditations are for.
Na'amm~ Shummef~ also predicates that identifying Na'amm is an important milestone in a meditator's spiritual growth. Na'amm isn't readily apparent to us because it is so intricately infused with our personality. Na'amm is easier to understand conceptually than it is to experience because we are naturally conditioned by instinct from birth and education to identify ourself with our body. Uncovering Na'amm is a mystical revelation that is a milestone in a meditator's journey on The Path of Enlightenment. It involves mastering Mystic Skills such as yoga postures, breath modulation techniques and the ability to visualise and see in the mind; then pulling all these practices together using meditation maps to peel back the I-ness until Na'amm is discovered. With Na'amm established as the meditator's Sense-of-I the dooor to deeper exploaration within The Innerverse begins.
The concept of the Sense-of-I or 'I-ness' is unique to Na'amm~ Shummef~ . I-ness takes our self-identity and categorises it into evolving states of identity that are uncovered through the spiritual evolution spurred by Rehnadee Shum meditations. This spiritual evolution is similar to how the understanding of our place in life matures over time through education and experience . Rehnadee Shum meditations provides the meditator with both mystic education and experience which evolves the understanding of 'I' to encompass one's spiritual being.
In Rehnadee Shum there are four states of the Sense-of-I. The following list gets progressively more refined as you go down:
- The Assertive-I which identifies with ones physical being is Naa in Rehnadee Shum.
- The Affirmative-I which identifies with ones inner personality is Na'a in Rehnadee Shum.
- The Witness-I, is Pure Awareness and Na'amm in Rehnadee Shum.
- The I-less-I, identifies itself with the being of the soul which develops post Emkaeef; is VaNa'amm in Rehnadee Shum.
This progressive maturing of 'I' in Na'amm~ Shumef~ is the basis for The Path of Enlightenment. The Path of Enlightenment follows the development of our self identity as it matures from Naa to VaNa'amm. Initially The 'I' is Naa, where I am my body. It takes lifetimes in Naa for the 'I' to eventually equate the mind with the body so that ones personality and character forms the greater part of one's I-ness in Na'a. Many more lifetimes later Na'a develops mystical ambitions to uncover the immortal nature as Na'amm. Once the mystic discovers Na'amm mysticism takes hold in his or her psyche and fuels deeper explorations into the innerverse. These explorations, which are recorded in the Rehnadee Shum diary, builds the mystic strength of Na'amm to a pinnacle that then propels Na'amm to seek The Spring of Creation which is the ultimate state of enlightenment known as Emkaeef; . After the attainment of Emkaeef; spiritual evolution on the Path of Enlightenment continues on to post-enlightenment where Na'amm transforms to VaNa'amm where the being of the soul grows as a spiritual body around Na'amm.
The Path of Enlightenment spans many lifetimes. Na'amm~ Shummef~ follows the immortal and ever pure Na'amm through the cycles of reincarnation. The bulk of lifetimes are spent in Naa and Na'a where I-ness matures ever so slowly from one lifetime on Earth to another. Life as Naa and Na'a is about living as existential beings where the primary goals are materialistic. Through these lifetimes spiritual evolution happens as we learn to master the impulses of the body and mind, and refine our reactions. The law of karma keeps track of this evolution and it develops emotional maturity. Emotional maturity in turn eventually buds into spiritual seeking as Na'a begins to feel the draw of turning inwards on itself to uncover Na'amm. If you find yourself seeking the reason for life or feel drawn to mystical experinces such as enlightenment or meditation practices you are well on your way to uncovering Na'amm for yourself. Na'a to Na'amm builds on the strength of emotional maturity with the practice of meditation to quiet the mind to the point that Na'amm becomes apparent. Na'amm to VaNa'amm brings to culmination our spiritual journey on Earth. From then onwards we are freed from the cycle of reincarnation and continue life as purely spiritual beings. Na'a to Na'amm to VaNa'amm is at the conclusion of the Path of Enlightenment. It is also the shortest segment in the span of lifetimes on Earth.
Rehnadee Shum meditations are dynamic and they cause spiritual evolution.
Shumnam means dynamic meditation. The word dynamic alludes to the practice of meditation that is progressive and is based on stepped levels that gradually takes the meditator on his or her individualised mystic path to achieve states of enlightenment. This individualised path is marked by nuaunced goals based on the preferance of the meditator and leads to the ability to explore the Innerverse and make it a wonderment of a meditator's life. Shumnam~ Shummef~ , the Third Truth that gives rise to the Shummef Perspective defines Rehnadee Shum's Culture of Meditation which contain all the elements necessary for dynamic meditation to work.
There are three essential elements to the Culture of Meditation (Shumsuh). The first is Preparation for Shumnam. This preparation varies based on the meditation map used but in general it involves establishing a meditation space, time and consistency, deciding on a meditation map and studying it. After that is the practice of Shumnam itself which follows the steps in the meditation map. Meditation maps are goal oriented. The steps of each meditation culminates with the goal of the meditation map. This goal is nuaunced based on the ability and interest of the meditator; it also builds the meditators skill and inner strength upon achievement to advance them to the next meditation map. The third element is journaling the meditation in a Rehnadee Shum Diary. This meditation diary is critical to the mystic advancement of the meditator. Maintaining this meditation diary is an inspiring. Whenever a meditation session is recalled for the diary the meditator will discovery insights and other mystical experiences that would have otherwise passed by unappreciated. Along with recording the meditator's mystic growth overtime the diary is also be used to uncover the next mediation map through a practice unique to Rehnadee Shum know as Spiritual Immersion.
Shumnam~ Shummef~ also mandates the creation and maintaining of the Rehnadee Shum Lexicon and the Meditation Maps Library. The Rehanadee Shum Lexicon collects all the words there is in Rehnadee Shum. It is always open to the creation of new words as our understanding and experience of the Innerverse grows with users of Rehnadee Shum. A council of Rehnadee Shum Masters will approve new words and maps to be added to the Rehnadee Shum Lexicon and Map Libraries as mystical experiences and their pathways are discovered. The Meditation Map Library is used to organise Shumnam into progressive levels of mystic advancement. There are six levels in all, as follows:
- Rehnadee Shum Academy. This library of meditation has all the maps that elucidate the philosophical teachings of Rehnadee Shum. It also contains the basics of the language; alphabet list, structure and syntax, word formation rules and caligraphy styles. These are academic maps to be studied to familiarise with the language and understand its inner workings.
- Beginner Meditation Maps. Beginner Level maps teach mystics to develop skills from managing distracting thoughts to visualisation, learning breathing techniques and yoga postures, to identifying psychological habits of the mind and managing them. Meditators who are interested in Rehnadee Shum must start with the Academy and Beginner Maps. They help create a practical meditation routine, teach how to read and use meditation maps and get into the habit of maintaining the Rehnadee Shum Diary. Beginner Meditation Map Libraries also hold meditations that are practiced for health benefits and are open to everyone especially those who want to meditate solely for its health benefits.
- Intermediate Meditation Maps. These Maps begin a Rehnadee Shum meditators exploration of the Innerverse. There are levels within levels in this library. The goals of these meditations include many wonderous and blissful states of enlightenment that develop the meditator's mystic strength. These maps build on the Beginner Level maps and take a meditator on his or her unique pathway–on the Path of Enlightenment–that is uncovered through journaling in the Rehnadee Shum Diary. The fulfillment brought on by these meditations enrich the meditators life by adding the Innerverse into one's life. Of all the six levels this is the largest library. At this level the meditator accumulates enlightenment experiences until a natural desire comes about to reach for the ultimate experience of enlightenment–Emkaeef; .
- Advanced Meditation Maps. The maps in this library are singularly focused on achieving the ultimate experience of enlightenment known in Rehnadee Shum as Emkaeef; . Emkaeef; is identified in Eastern meditation schools as Nirvikalpa Samadhi in Hinduism and Sunya in Buddhism. In english this experience is translated as 'nothingness' or The Void. In Rehnadee Shum Emkaeef; is identified by recognising its aftermath. The meditation maps of this level train the mystic to build up strength to attain Emkaeef; and identify its aftermath. Meditator's at this level will appreciate the nuaunce of mysiticism that can only be expressed by Rehnadee Shum. They will often be inspired to draw their own meditation maps in their diary as the aftermath of Emkaeef; unfolds in their meditation.
- Shum Guide Meditation Maps. This and the next level is unique to Rehnadee Shum as they reveal and record spiritual evolution after the attainment of the highest state of enlightenment. This is the first post enlightenment level where the mystic steps on the path to becoming a Rehnadee Shum Master. After reaching the heights of Emkaeef; the dimensions of the Innerverse that exists beyond the Crown Chakra (the eight, ninth and tenth) become open to exploration. The goal of this level is to continue the practice of attaining Emkaeef; until it becomes second nature to the Rehnadee Shum Guide. The meditation maps at this level are replete with practices to transmute and lock energy from our physical and astral beings into Na'amm (Pure Awareness). This energy in turn grows a soul body around Pure Awareness. As you can imagine this is a rarefied level of spirituality. Mystics at this level have the wisdom to guide meditators in the Beginners and Intermediate Levels.
- Shum Masters Maps. This library of meditation maps is a collection of literary works that educate meditators on the methods of Rehnadee Shum meditation and inspire its practice. These maps are often kept in Rehnadee Shum Academy's library. For instance this Shummef Meditation Map was written by me, Guhanatha Swami for educational purposes and is kept in the Academy's library. The Shum Masters Library also collects approved Rehnadee Shum Diary entries that meditators wish to share with others that are inspiring and aspirational to read. These entries are collected and as it grows will be compiled as Rehnadee Shum Scripture. Masters and Guides inspired works and the telling of their spiritual journey on The Path of Enlightenment are also collected here along with records on the genesis of Rehnadee Shum words and meditation maps. A Rehnadee Shum Council comprising of Masters and Guides is charged with maintaining these libraries.
Conclusion
Shummef enlivens Rehnadee Shum to be spiritually effective as a Language for Meditation. Another way to understand Shummef is as a faculty of the mind. When you are in this faculty, you transcend your personality. In Shummef you are that immortal Pure Awareness–Na'amm and can travel across The One Mind. Shummef only becomes apparent after you uncover your Na'amm. This will naturally happen as you practice Rehnadee Shum's dynamic meditations. Shummef allows you to colour your life with the mystic point of view. As you master one meditation map after another your life will be enriched by adding the mystic dimensions to your life's experiences.
